I am going to install a tub surround that mounts directly to the studs. Is greenwall required?

I currently have a tile Walles, but the grout is failing, so I will remove the tiles and completely expose the studs. Is it necessary to use the green panel as a backing? The product I’m installing Aqua Glass Eleganza bathtub wall is.
